RCMSD Driver to compete at the
2022 “OldSkool Euro Master 2022“
RC Model Shop Direct team driver Paul Ruckledge is to compete at the OldSkool Euro Masters at Geilenkirchen in Germany. Some of you may know Paul and know he is mad on anything RC iconic and has been in the hobby for many many years!
On Thursday (24th Feb 2022) Paul with friend Martin start the long journey by land and sea to Geilenkirchen in Germany, some 500 miles to compete at the OldSkool Euro Masters. It has been touch and go if this event would actually be held due to Covid restrictions but it’s a go and from talking to Paul he can’t wait to get there.
Paul will be racing in the 2WD & 4WD class on Saturday & Sunday. His weapons of choice for the event are his 1986 Mardave Meteor in the 2WD class and his 1991 Tamiya Top Force for the 4WD class. He has raced these buggies a few times and made a few modifications to make them perform better with the new more powerful motors we use these days, unlike back in the day when they were first released.
We wish Paul and all the 70+ competitors at the event “Good Luck”. It’s great to see these old iconic RC machines still racing some 30 years + after they were first introduced.
