Tamiya Trucks are fantastic reproductions of the real thing. RC Trucks are a favorite with many professional truckers who like to replicate their real life truck into a /14th scale RC Truck. The Tamiya Trucks are in kit form and need to be built which also involves installing the electrics to make them run. A Radio Controlled Truck looks amazing when it is running with full lights, sound and they also have a vibration unit so when you start up your Radio Controlled Truck it actually vibrates like a real truck would!

At RC Model Shop Direct we hold a monthly RC Truck Fest meet where we convert Ignition raceway into a big road way with loading bay and parking area. If you canā€™t make it to our monthly meet there are many other clubs throughout the country that other likeminded people take their RC Trucks to run.

Tamiya are one of the most detailed models around and have reproduced many of the full scale trucks over the years.Ā  There are many aftermarket items you can get for the models with Carson offering a range of lights, tyres and wheels and not forgetting the American bull bars for the American models! They also offer some amazing trailers from low-loaders to oil tankers which also boast super detail to replicate the real thing.

Unlike a normal on road RC model which use a two channel radio (one for steering and one for drive). The Tamiya truck has a three speed gearbox and requires a servo to operate it. Due to this you need a four channel radio to make the model run correctly. With the 4 channel you can also operate all the lights and start up from your transmitter (controller).
